What is the difference between waterproof grade IP67 and IP68
When setting the IP protection level for a product, enterprise customers are wondering whether the product should be IP68 or IP67? To help customers better distinguish between the two, Liheda will answer your questions.
Why do products need to undergo IP68/IP67 protection level testing?
Before the product was circulated in the market, many corporate customers conducted simulation tests on reliability based on the characteristics and usage conditions of the product to discover its shortcomings, in order to continuously improve their products and avoid unnecessary losses.
What is the difference between IP67 and IP68?
The concept is different.
The concepts represented by IP67 and IP68 are different. Ip6X represents the level of dust prevention, but the last digits IPx7 and IPx8 represent level seven waterproofing and level eight waterproofing.
2 levels are different.
Compared to IP68, IP67 has a lower level of protection, and the conditions for testing IP68 are more harsh. IP68 represents the highest level of protection tested.
The testing environment is different.
The level of testing varies, and the samples are also tested in different environments. IP67 is immersed in water at a depth of one meter for half an hour, while the IP68 test condition must be higher than the IP67 test condition.
